I must admit, the Documentary I watched here on History Channel this week, I felt was very biased and did not show what a lot of other videos on Youtube/ shown in the conspiracy videos etc have shown and questioned. Some good information I had not yet watched online that explained how the different agencies had information that was not shared, surely there is a lot of information already on hand regards NK, but; is it being shared or is it being used to force NK's hand and go to all out war? The Documentary seemed to have one aim and that was to justify a War against Terrorism regardless of the outcome. But conspiracy theory's aside, I can tell you, if I had a neighbour here who made constant threats and I was unable to put distance between him and I, I would take action one way or the other to ensure MY safety first and foremost. What do they say? "I'd rather be judged by 12 than be carried by 6"
The Marines here surely remember the name Major General Smedley Butler. He wrote a speech called War Is A Racket. It was later made into a short book. https://ratical.org/ratville/CAH/warisaracket.pdf After rereading I have to ask myself does Trump seam like the type to start a war just to make ?
Trump has said he will totally destroy NK if they "threaten" the USA or its allies; wake up Trump, they already have. I am not sure he actually needs to totally destroy that country - I am wondering what would happen when just one nuke lands on a major NK target in a pre-emptive strike (and then a pause before any other attacks). Perhaps the Generals will realise in an instant that Fat Boy's threats have failed and they face imminent death - causing them to assassinate him immediately and calling for a ceasefire (and then forced to enter negotiations). If, however, that gambit fails and NK starts an all-out war, then destroy them as rapidly as possible. It is estimated that between 50 million and 80 million died in World War 2 - what would have been the toll if at that time one nation had the ability to destroy Germany, especially their factories and military targets? Perhaps a million lives lost, maybe less - absolutely horrific, but it is not 50 to 80 million. And six million innocents not put into gas chambers. Time is running out - disaster now or apocalypse later.
Yes, I heard his speech to the United Nations and if he really wants to take on North Korea, Iran AND Venezuela he will need a bigger military budget. Seems he was talking for all the other world leaders to hear, mainly China and Russia. Best guess is he wants to judge their reaction. He plays people, not politics. He was likely watching the people who represent China and Russia to see what their reactions would be.
It is all about priorities .... sort out NK first and do it NOW ... that will also serve to send a message to Iran and possibly initiate meaningful negotiations. I am not sure Venezuela needs outside interference but it is certainly not a problem equal to that of NK. China and Russia have had enough time to do something. If they were being threatened their behaviour would be totally different. There is a danger that if this problem drags on too long, Putin may (for power reasons) threaten to use his nukes to protect NK in the same manner he did successfully with Ukraine. If many leaders start making nuclear threats then I suggest that deterrence is breaking down and perhaps is already broken.
Looks like they (China) did, like; WTH??? BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated to his South Korean counterpart Beijing’s demand for the removal of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system, state news agency Xinhua said on Thursday. Wang made the comments during a meeting with Kang Kyung-wha on the sidelines of a United Nations gathering in New York on Wednesday, it added. South Korea and the United States say THAAD is needed to defend against the threat of North Korea, but China says it will do nothing to reduce tension and its powerful radar system threatens the country’s security. Reporting by Ben Blanchard; Editing by Clarence Fernandez China reiterates calls for South Korea to remove THAAD
If that is the very best China can come up with (to remove a possible defence for SK against the madman next door) then they cease to count. Better they use their huge influence within NK to get the Fat Boy removed (dead or alive).
Removing missile defense? Defensive missiles and radar does not threaten China's security in any way. It sounds more like they want the radar gone so that a future invasion into SK would be a lot easier on them. Are they trying to trump Trump with the ridiculous demands and threats?
