Jeopardy is different than jeopardy and you know that, so that's why I like you enough not to tell you if I like you or not.

Whilst on the subject of unusual experiences (as related by @PatO) has anyone experienced what might be pre-cognition (knowing an event before it happened).

Two examples of mine: I was gardening when I had a strong feeling of concern about a person - I dropped my tools and immediately contacted the person's daughter and asked her to phone her mother asap. The mother said she was feeling very ill but afraid to go to hospital. The daughter contacted a nearby relative who took her to hospital. She had a very serious gall bladder infection - left too long and she may have died. Note: This was an event already occurring but of which I had no knowledge (only the mother was aware of it).

In another case a long-lost friend came to my house. I had not seen him for many years and was not aware he knew where I lived. But about four times prior to that I found myself looking up from what I was doing and staring at my front door and 'seeing' him there, with a woman whom I did not recognise - a few weeks later I answered a knock at my door and he was there, with his 'new' wife. They were dressed almost identically to what I saw in my imagination (or precognition). But again this was in a way an event that had already happened as they had visited an old address of mine a few weeks before - I was not aware of that.

Many other events have occurred after I said something connected with them - my ex-wife and current wife both noticed that.

In both cases above instead of pre-cognition it could be receiving some form of energy from another person - after all, the Universe is energy.

    Anyone experienced anything similar?

I know someone on this forum (a very bright guy*) who is an expert in brains - perhaps he will have some insights if he wishes to comment. [*OMG - I sound like Trump!].

And no, I was not hitting the booze and no, I cannot predict the lotto (if so, then I would have an ocean-view home with swimming pool and yacht in some amazing country).

I'm a little confused about something......

Now let's assume Heaven and Hell are real, and when we die we'll go to one or the other.

Heaven is where all the "good" people go, those that believe in God, those that don't "sin". So it's likely to be full of do-gooders, preachers, vegans, teetotalers, ramblers, cyclists, your boring aunt, etc. Daily activities might consist of Bible reading, sitting around in a circle singing Kumbaya, lighting candles, playing the acoustic guitar, praying, drinking tea, and organizing fetes and jumble sales.

Hell, on the other hand, is where all the "bad" people go and the "sinners". So it's likely to be full of strippers, drug dealers, rock stars, hookers, landlords, party animals, DJs, brewers, hedonists and fornicators. Daily activities might consist of, well, any form of debauchery.

So this is where I get confused. Why would anyone want to go to Heaven rather than Hell?

You assume I am a catholic which I am not, but at least now I know you are an agnostic, but you do sound like an atheist. Thank you for sharing. You also said that you are open to hearing, but you are not. Your mind might tell you so, but your heart is where your truth is. Have a good day. If you are truly an agnostic, then maybe you will wonder what happens and where you will go when you die. An atheist just believes when they die, that is it, back to nothing.

Sadly, one day you will see it is simply not so. Yes, this virus and all of the other things have been foretold. That is why nothing surprises me. Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 all explain it, along with numerous other prophecies. But since you don't believe, it is all gibberish to you.

All God is trying to to is get your attention before it is to late. He gave you warnings, he told the price for not obeying and rejecting him. Look at what he is offering, do you not think he has a right to make certain conditions applicable for you to receive those promises? And to provide punishment for those that are at war with Him?

    chips

In British English, chips are long, thin pieces of potato that are fried in oil and eaten hot. Pieces of potato like these are called fries or french fries in American English.

We had fish and chips for dinner.
They went to a restaurant near the Capitol for a steak and fries.

She ate a large bag of potato chips.
I bought a packet of crisps and a drink.

Chips made from foods other than potatoes usually have that word first.

There was a bowl of tortilla chips and salsa on the table.

I have grown up. As a child I enjoyed believing in Santa and the Easter bunny. Good memories.
As for hell, my beliefs have modified over the years. The concept of Hell can mean anything. Case in point; That youtube video that when viral of the foreigner who came bursting out of his house all hot and bothered because his maid was told to wear a mask. His ego got the best of him. He did not read the situation correctly. He lacked the wisdom to choose his battles wisely. And then got to experience a piece of Hell on earth; arrested, loss of dignity. His cognitive behavior/habits are a form of Hell. Lots of people suffer this form of hell. Too much ego with little or no sense of modesty or humility. They get triggered too easy.

Jesus spoke of being humble, that does not mean being weak. You turn the other cheek to a simple verbal insult, but if evil attacks with physical confrontation and you have no way to side-step you have the God given right to put down the threat. Humble means choose you battles wisely.

More people have died as a result of religion (any religion) than disease (not actually calculated, but you get my point).

A lot of Kool Aid has been drank with this line of thinking over the last few thousand years. The end times are always near, many people have even put an exact date on, yet it never seems to come.

Ezekiel 38:39 is, like all prophecies, extremely vague. It can be interpreted to fit any narrative and event in the region. Odd how lands people didn't know existed are left out of prophecies or just covered in vague terms (lands to the east/west/north/south). Anyone can predict anything using that type of language.

God could have done that as soon as mankind entered into sin. But he also gave us free will. It is our choice.

Many wonder why God lets bad things happen. What many don't understand is that there is a war going on, good versus evil. It will end someday and many believe we are getting closer and closer. There are still some prophecies yet to come. But if you believe in God and the Bible, then you can see what prophecies have already been fulfilled, and they were written hundreds of years before the event.

I think that the prophecy in Ezekiel 38 & 39, will be eye opening for many when it occurs. The stage of which is being set even today with Russia reasserting itself into the Middle East and allying with Syria and Iran.

I know there are people out there that absolutely refuse to believe, I get that. It makes me feel bad because I know the alternative they have chose. Some are saying that the Pope and the church doing what they do is not right. I agree and I seriously believe that God disapproves too. He will take care of that in His time. I always say, it is right to hate what is evil, but just because you are angry with the Church and some leaders in it, doesn't mean you should be angry with God.
