Well the easy part is done , 8000 km's and 2 international airports , Pat's wine still intact , just have to manoeuvre ourselves from the hotel to the airport at 5:30am in the morning for the first flight to Duma. Taxi from the Airport to hotel negotiations started at P1200 , we settled at P700 ,with a no lunch money (snacks) clause added . because I couldn't see any one becoming too hungry on a 2.3km journey . (but we are in the Philippines ). Booked a hotel advertised with wifi , get into our room on the 6th floor , no wifi , buzz reception and get told that wifi only works up to the 2nd floor , then realisation hits , it's just more fun here isn't it .
From Ermita we start pricing for a taxi to Terminal #3 at 250p..usually pay 300 never more than 400..Im talking almost US Embassy
I am hoping to fly with Philippines Airways via Brisbane to Darwin then direct to Manila, then I am HOPING to have my next flight booked within hours to connect to Dumaguete so that I do not need to stay at a Hotel overnight. Not sure how well laid out my thoughts/plans will be, but if I have to sleep in the Airport until my next flight I will be the guy with the chain and padlocks around my waist and my luggage parked in a corner somewhere catching ZZzzZZzzz's ^_^ hehe
Kudos to Tony Tony and Alfie arrived and with requested orders from The Land of Wonder, The Land Down Under, filled. I owe Tony 3 big ones for his kindness. Reciprocity will be forthcoming.
We have already been paid in full Pat , you saved me at least a day of my time by orchestrating your influence with your bank manager who fast tracked everything for us and generally made the whole thing easy and painless , I would say at this juncture that neither of us have an itchy back because we have both had them scratched. cheers tony
