@ShawnM Opportunist thieves have left our family in Sadness Today. Junob is in Fiesta Mode and we all went out for an hour or two, The House was Locked and lights on in the garden and terraces, the Dogs were Patrolling (All 5 of them) The Would be thieves only made it into the main gate and must have come face to face with the Dogs and Run, but they left the gate open. When we got Home there were only 3 in the garden. the two Big Dogs must have either given Chase or just mooched about. We searched for over an Hour or so but it was difficult as there was a Storm and then a brownout about 8.30 or so We Got the Girl back unhurt but the Boy (her Brother) is still missing, he was never an out of gate Dog (very Territorial) and I guess lost now or worse. I worry for all around here as he will be Frightened, probably Hungry and can have an evil temper if wound up. If anyone in the JUNOB upper Batinguel area see him can they let me know. He is named "Shadow" and is on the right of Both Photos of him and his Sister ("Midnight") Thank you all for reading this
Sad news Jack. My experience is keep looking around and calling his name that also alert the neighbours so they know your dog is missing. He may have lost his directions or is just frightened and in hiding. Good luck!
Seems I have walked miles this morning a Little Hoarse even now, I have all the Kids in the Purok on the lookout, they all know him well. Later I will let my little Askal off his lead as another member has suggested to me, if any of mine can look him out it will be that one. It is a sad day and the other 4 are just looking around for him, will have some "Wanted" Posters up at the local Sori Sori's later with a reward for his Finder Thank you for the Post my Friend
Just a note of encouragement, I lost a cat once. Seems he jumped over a wall that was lower on the opposite side so there was no way he could get back up. He wandered for days before finding his way home and looked starved and bedraggled when he got back. He never wanders after that, worse luck. (Means he won't go looking for mice and birds and sits at the front door and meows every time he is hungry.) So something similar may have happened to Shadow. Don't give up the search :-)
Dogs can go missing for days and then suddenly return; so remain in hope. Certainly a good idea to take your other dogs with you as their sense of smell is far in excess of that of humans; either they could detect Shadow or he could detect them. Even possible they may lay a fresh trail to your home (the past ones having been obliterated by the rains last night) which he may follow if he meets it at ANY point.
Jack...I sure hope you get Shadow back; we know first hand how devastating a loss of a beloved dog can be. When some a hole stabbed my boy (Shadow's brother) it hit hard and bothers me almost 2 years later. Keep me up to date and fingers crossed he makes it home. Also glad that Midnight was found and is back. Shawn
My dog (Stupid) runs away quite a bit. The first time I found him at the market trying to get food from some locals. Might want to check around places cooking food. Spoiler: Off-topic Side note: Though my dog certainly earned the name Stupid in hindsight it was a bad choice to name him that. Anyone he is near gets offended when he is called and told to get his dumb @ss back home.
Well you can all say what you like about, Noreco II but on a general Alert from Azon (my Wife) the linesmen attending work in VALENCIA ( some 8+ miles away from JUNOB) Spotted "Shadow" in the Woods and alerted us Well done you guys, as I write this, he is on his way home to a very relieved family. What more can I say but Thank you and before anyone decides to make an issue, it is called Family, whether it is Actual or Professional Thank You Guys
