and find the top doctors and medical facilities recommended by the US Embassy. Does their recommendation make them any better? That is a person choice you can make.-

Dr. Denura did respond to my Facebook message. If anyone is interested, she has offices in both SUMC Mon and Wed, Tel: 4212223 and Holy Child the remainder of the week, Tel: 2255390.

I use Dr. Magbanua at Silliman. He has done well with me, I had quadruple by-pass, and as a bonus he sees by appointment. No appointment you wait until he has an opening to be seen that day.

When I read the topic title my immediate thought was "You must be dreaming" When a friend died in Silliman 2 years back, his wife had to keep him alive with a manual ventilator all night because they did not have the budget for enough machines. Open heart surgery my left nut!

I can't even get a foot doctor here as both Holy Child and Silliman both said they didn't have one and to try Cebu. But they are going to manage an heart surgeon? I'm also wondering what they mean when they say *open* heart surgeon... is that like Provincials *open* meaning in the hallway surrounded by sick and dying people?

Interesting, I had a quadruple by-pass back in 2006 in Vegas. I have a cardiologist here, Dr. Magbanua. I asked him about the new heart center a few months ago to see if they would be able to do angio's and insert stints if necessary. At the time, he said no because in order to be able to do that you must have the facility and doctors qualified to do emergency heart surgery and that they did not have them. Guess I better go re-check with him. Heart surgery today is like having your tonsils removed in the 60's.
