I have heard that PAL is going to add a none stop flight from the Philippines to Seattle, WA. U.S.A. in June or July. Dose anyone have any info to that new route? I just found this with a Google search; New routes Philippine Airlines recently announced it would begin flying nonstop from Manila to Seattle, its fifth city in the US. That caps an impressive period of expansion to North America. I will call PAL to try to get more INFO. Call made; NO info from the PAL employee I talked to. She suggested I talk to a travel agent.
It doesn't seem to be available on their website to book yet. But certainly within their range, as they now fly non-stop from Manila to New York JFK Airport.
email from PAL. 8 february.. Looks like a restart of the flight they had back in 2016. How we got here..
https://simpleflying.com/united-philippine-airlines-feud/ United is protesting giving the route to PAL without United getting reciprocal right for Guam to Manila. I too hope they get the route, my work takes me to Portland, Oregon a couple of time a year and really like options to avoid LAX.
My PAL to New York from MNL last year stopped in Vancouver transit for an hour or so. Don't know about return cuz my return was from SFO. MY cross country was two days via Amtrak.
The non-stop to/from NY is relatively new, maybe about a year and a half old. Asawa is booked on it next month. Although we booked it about 5 months ago and obviously didn't know about the virus problems, it's nice not to have to transit in China, or anywhere else for that matter. https://usa.inquirer.net/16736/pal-inaugurates-nonstop-new-york-manila-flights
