    Is Palawan is safe for tourists now? heard there were a group of tourists held captive by guerillas....

    I went there this year. Had a great time. No hint of trouble.

    Suppose it depends where abouts you go... It's a bit like asking "Is Africa safe?" :o

    If you stick to the tourist areas I'm sure you'll be fine, if you go off the beaten track then you are venturing into the unknown, which is not necessarily a bad thing either. :wink:
