Lazada. Many choices, get extra rubber bits tho, they perish quickly here in heat & humidity. I keep mine in bottom of fridge!

One is left wondering when and where the "law" is applied, especially when it is so vague (like other Philippine laws) as to have an overly broad interpretation.

i have always been told, and my own belief and experience is, try to resolve any dispute involving the police with the first officer on the scene if possible. my experience is that the police ajudicate those situations they are involved in and the price only goes up the more people become involved. and of course there is the truism that, "the foreigner always pays"

In this actual court case, a judgment was rendered, an Airgun is not a firearm.

well i repeat an earlier observation that cangs sells them (or did in february) two different kinds that i saw with ammo, just over the counter with no special handling, supports this more recent post i recall there were rather expensive and probably not the sort of thing neighbors would take kindly. just long guns at cangs. might be handy to repell invaders by appearance but not firepower. as it is my dogs take care of the cats and rats and are super alert to sound off at pedestrians passing by, i take care of the dogs.

Goodluck Commercial, besides Golden Rule Store, sells airguns and accessories.

I vaguely remember looking in to this a while back ago. There may be some case law on this. If I remember correctly pellet guns (or compressed air guns) do not qualify as a "firearm". I believe sources were linked to that case law (or legal opinion) in the thread where a pellet gun was being sold.

Hopefully I said it before but just in case I didn't: this is not legal advice.

Just a heads up on air rifles. The mayor of bayawan today has just banned the use of them as too many people were using them to kill birds and other wildlife.

Ever been shot by a pellet gun? You don't have to punch a hole in someone to stop them in their tracks. A fully automatic airsoft gun will deter almost anyone if aimed at their face. (Also not legal advice, don't do that.)

I had a fully auto M4 replica airsoft. Shot myself in the foot with shoes on just to see if it had any force behind it. F'n hell, instant regret and a huge blood blister and bruise that took a week to heal up. If those little plastic pellets were flying at my face at several hundred per minute I would immediately retreat and reconsider. Those are also great for dark rooms, spray and pray...and you don't have to worry about replacing all the stuff you were trying to protect from getting stolen like you would with a pistol, shotgun or machine gun.

That's nice, but I doubt that would have any legal standing if challenged...not that I would want to take on the financial burden of challenging it in court.
