⌛ People Who Won Millions

Oprah is going to touch this interesting topic, I have always wondered what happens to people when they win millions. I am sure, much as everybody else are, that I would do fine and enjoy the fortune, but would that be the case?

Adam Rose is one of her guests, and he was making less than $11 an hour when he went on a show called The Price is right where he won a million Dollars.
Adam ended up buying a SUV, new house, he also gave money to charities and opened his lifelong dream - a daycare center.

The host of the show The Price is Right is also interviewed, he said a women actually peed herself during the show because she won, and she "only" won $21000. Hardly enough in US to pee yourself on National TV.

How about you, if you were among one of these people who won millions, what would you do and how would you react?

 

here is what happened to a guy I know....

He won about 800,000, spent 1,200,000 in a new car and needed to give the car back after few month. Now he is a gardener again and works to pay his Utang. He might succeed in that if he reaches the wise age of 183 years.

Did I mention it was in Batangas and of course Peso...

 

I get already headache thinking about it
I would continue to live the live I am living now.
I should tell nobody about my financial 'disaster' and pick out the people and bodies who are doing good things for the poor and helpless, and giving also some relatives who are clearly in need but never have been complaining.
But writing this I get the impression that I then have to hire a secretary for controlling all this.
See.....there is my headache already :D
But I'm sure I would not give the millions back to the institution who told me "you're the winner"
I once saw such a 'documentary' about what happened with milionairs from a lotto.
About 80% was not more lucky than before. Divorces, being misused by 'friends', lost all the money again by not taking precautions, .....etc

 

Its all just in good fun...

 

Well I guess if I won millions of dollar's I would stop sending out the begging letter's :D
Seriously....I would like to think that I could do some good with it and help others.....But remember money can't buy happiness....it can help solve a few problems ....regards JB

 

I would definitely buy/build my dream house first and the rest would be to be continue....

Well. A earlier co worker of me won in lotto around A million USD in 2001. He is a little stubborn kinda guy. First he lost his job by being a lot home from work without a valid reason. I offered him help (well Told him how to, without any claim in money for me)to invest a part of his money for makin this money grow. The history have showed that if he followed my advice he would have 5-pled his money (to 5 M USD)allready the first 3 years.

But now he maybe have 20% back of this money, still no job.
And it will hit him in the face when the money is no more.:(
