Just a quick update, got an email from the passport office and have accepted my application and are sending the new passport back. Looks like philpost did not update the tracker.
I missed out on my pension from UK (delayed) because my proof of life enquiry never arrived. I just received a domestic registered post today, Jan 6, 2020 sent 15 October 2019 from Manila, cost P46 or 70p in real money, the same cost as 1st class post in UK, which is guaranteed to be delivery next day! If you live in Sibulan, post first comes to Dumaguete. It can take anything up to 2 weeks to get to Sibulan from Dumaguete. If there is a small package for you they drop a message to you to say to go pick it up. Is it me? Couldn't they have just delivered the package? There is no mail delivery in Sibulan, not where I live anyway, about 5 minutes from Sibulan PO, you have to pick everything up. Many years ago in Manila I had a cheque book sent by my bank in UK intercepted by PO staff. Several weeks later I found two withdrawals from my account from Hong Kong. I got the money back (obviously not a Filipino Bank), but how the hell did they manage that???
Been to the Dumaguete post office this morning, asked about international post as I'm expecting mail from the UK. The lady said no post from Manila for 4 months.
