Registration Procedures for Informal Economy Members | PhilHealth
Philhealth Premium Requirements for Members in the Informal Economy "Individually Paying Members (IPMs) earning an average monthly income of P25,000 and below pay P200 monthly or P2,400 per year, while those earning above P25,000 pay P300 monthly or P3,600 per year."
The premium scale for the Formal Economy (regular employees) is listed in terms of "Salary", for most of us who fall into the Informal Economy the Premium depends on how much your earned monthly income is. If you do not have a job or a business you aren't earning anything (earned income). Investment income (unless an active trader) nor Retirement Benefits are equivalent to "Salary"

April to December 2017 - 2700p
January to December 2018 - 3600p
January to December 2019 - 3600p
January to June 2020 - 1800p
TOTAL: 11,700p
Added my Wife and Step Daughter as Dependents, so all three covered now until June 2020.
NOTE: Anyone going to the main Office, if you are disabled and unable to climb the stairs, you can press a button on the ground floor to have them come to you, if you are Elderly, Disabled or Pregnant, you can request a Priority Number and you will be seen to earlier...
Thanks to all for the advice
*Edit:
When you go up the stairs and walk through the door, you will need to go to the left and get the forms to fill in from the Guard, then there is a table to the right around the corner where you can fill in the forms, once filled in, go back to the Guard and gain a Priority number (as stated earlier; if you are Disabled, Elderly or Pregnant tell the Guard to gain priority, the first number I had 113 people in front of me, the wife went back and gained another number and we were seen to in around 10/15 minutes) Then watch the Screen for your number to be flashed up and proceed to the Counter, then take the paper to the Cashier and pay, then go back to your Counter and finish the process, not very hard at all...-

So for the miserly sum of 11,700 pesos, to be covered until mid 2020, gives her that peace of mind that should we ever have the misfortune to avail their services, then it will pay for itself in the first claim.
IF we ever need to avail a second/third time, then it will more than pay for itself, so until such time; we will continue to put money away in case of emergency with the knowledge that IF we ever need to avail Philhealth in the future, then hopefully with the newly set charges, the Hospital will not see us as a Ca$h Cow and overcharge us, like the many stories I have heard, and from what I have experienced personally when helping others in the past...
I think it is excellent value and well worth the risk when there are no other real alternatives out there for me or my Family.

I went today. Up the stairs and to the desk on the left. Told her I was a member paid for 2017 but wanted to prepay. She gave me a short piece of paper to fill out name, address, membership number, and a priority number for the cashier. Filled out the form just in time for my number to come up. Told the cashier what I wanted, he asked what I paid for this year (p2400), charged me p6,000 for Jan 18 through Jun 2020. Out in under 10 minutes.

My wife signed me up for Philhealth today. She was able to sign me up for 3 years at 300p per month X 36 (10,800). It would have cost 20op a month X 36 (7,200) but they asked her if my monthly income was more than 25,000p a month and she said yes so another 100 more a month. A friend signed up yesterday and was never asked that question. Go figure. Still, beats the 17,000 a year beginning the July 1 rate so if you are going to sign up cheaper to do it before July 1.
My wife and my child will be covered under my plan in January for free, she has her own coverage until then.
Note: this is not a suggestion that everyone should sign up for Philhealth. Higher cost, lower coverage now.-
