I know this has been the subject of discussion in the past but this is just a heads up, particularly for those living north of Dumaguete:

It's been my intention for some time to get a Philippine Driving License so set up an account on the LTO Portal then yesterday I went to get the med cert & submit the application at Himamaylan LTO - Medical next door took 10 min's and P500 then into LTO filled in the application with copies of passport and UK license. Finished in about 2 hours with new plastic license. No hassle just went to a couple of different windows, as instructed - paid the money (P685) and Hey Ho - Job done!
