    Good news !
Like everybody here we know that business is picking up in Negros not atleast by foreign investments. The European Parlement has honored Negros last month with an donation of not less then 10 Million Euro ( 620 M Peso) for the extension of the growing of organic cane sugar...
And lots more is to come like a Housing project plus a scientific project in collaboration with the Silliman University .
During a Business Lunch meeting last week with the Mayor of Dumaguete , I came to know PAL has found reason enough to start operating on Dumaguete. When .. Frankly I don,t know yet..
But , with their new fleet of Airbus 319 /320 I am sure they will be a good alternative for A PH and Cebu Pacific.
Cebu Pacific has been proud over the fact that they have 95 % sheduled flight arriving and departing on time..
    IN THEIR DREAMS !!
Everybody knows a delay of 1.5 / 2 hours is nowadays not an exeption !
Last time I arrive coming from Manila with Cebu Pacific 2 hours late and even the Pilot made a HUGE error during final approach . The flaps were not extended due in time ,thus resulting in a far to high landingspeed. Only way out ,Run about :Taking the plane up with full extended flaps makes you feel right in the middle of an earthquake..The aircraft shake and give you the feeling to falls apart..... Lots of people crying....
I notice perhaps as the only one.. since the captian did not..
Not want to be arrogant , but in my younger days I used to fly myself. Atleast I could comfort some of the passangers .. Not anybody of the crew or the captan gave an excuse...

O well, again :what was the expression ?? ONLY in... CEBU PACIFIC !!!!

    erm you mean PAL
otherwise known as "Plane Always Late"
they are the worst airline i have ever flown with
5 out of my last transpacific flights with them have been late
last one was 14 hours late only to have noone at the gate to sort out connecting flights etc
got upgraded to business only to find the seats were fal, ling apart
and the tv remote didn't work
    when complained nothing happened
    they are an utter joke
    plus no etickets
    i'd rather take cebu anyday

PAL is going to use the newest Airbuses 319 /320 ...
Anyway it is , as always , totaly up to everybody to choise what , when and where..
Just a piece of thought :
Cebu Pacific is offering training to those who wish to become a PILOT with them....
The intensive training will result into a place on board likely as a first officer ( I bloody hope so !!)
within 1 year after 50 !!! hours of flying experience...

you are puttingv me off flying all together altogether in the Phils
I just know from my experience that I will NEVER give my money to PAL.
They are operated by chinese mafia who don't give a toss
if a cpomplaint is made in business class the n they should do their upmost to rectify the problem, actually seats and everything should be immaculate in buisiness class. every seat was 30 years old and broken on a 12 hour flight
this is unnacerptable especially after a 14 hour delay
then no hotel was arramnged and noone was at thew gate for inquiries
Add to this that i have used a frequent flyer card for one year collecting what i thought to be over 50,000 miles. i have presented oit every time
and i have never been told there was a problem with it
they said yes sir its being added
    well listen to this
I wanted to get the balance last month and when they checked it out the card said zero miles
nothing ahd been added the card had not been entered properly and noone had noticed. All i got was oh , sorry sir same as when i complained about the crappy seats in business
sorry, thats it, no action at all
    PATHETIC
without doubt PAL employs the thickest and worst staff in the whole world!

YOU are RIGHT on that !

I symphatize with you , but helas, it is not one story on its own , diba. Many people feel uncomfortable dealing with Philippine companies and airlines always know how to TOP things when it comes to their famous , WALA SERVICE DITO.
They promise you heaven ( on board in the sky) but ferquently give you hell instead..
The expresion Sorry Sir , I hear often enough . Last week some freeky guy with a live pig bounded on the back seat of his scooter bumpt to my one year old immaculate car...
SORRY SIR , was all I got , beside my sincer condolance to the Lechon.
Sir is pronounced SIER in Negros . I got used to that as well.

this total zero responsibility and lack of accountability worries me here
where does it end? I hope it ends at the hospital or the dentist.
I'm worried now about going for a checkup at silliman
what if they didn't sterilize properly and they gave me hep or HIV?
will i still just get a "Soory Sier we gave you HIV"???????

    Getting Hiv ...

Well after the Soory Sier , I have some kind of comfort for you...
uhh ....THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH hahaha.

Of all I should not make jokes about this matter, being pretty religious myself , but I could not think of an "better "way to atleast give you the impression that whatever happens..
If not religious yourself , perhaps time to do so... Won,t hurt ,cost nothing and gives in times of mental of physical pains the right medicine..

I did fly with Cebu pasific many times and had only one time a delay of one hour.
Cebu pasific has a brand new fleet of airbusses and is also very cheap no complains about Cebu Pasific from me.

    Greetings J.Diver

Yabs...welcome to the third world. PAL is a breath of fresh air compared to some I've flown extensively in Middle east and the sub-continent (have you ever wondered why they call it the sub-continent?).....I can't complain too much with my PAL experiences..been okay most of the time, and usually within half an hour of quoted times (about the same as I get down here)...I've had much much worse...try PIA for a while...spent three days once in Karachi waiting for a plane...

    no complains

ALL aircrafts are coming in or getting out right over my house. I know the difference between a SNECMA Turbofan ( airbus ) engine and an old PRATT & WHITNEY jet.of the 30 plus years in service 737/ 200 series !! of AP. ,but there is also visual contact.. looking at the tails. C P is the last few months ARAW ARAW late.. only on Sundays , they appear to come in on schedule times.
I am not putting at the discussion what is right or wrong , like said before it is all up to the traveller .
Mind you although the planes are brand new ,indeed. Issn,.t it the photographer that makes the picture and thus the PILOT that flies the plane ?

In other words DIVER when was the last time you used CP ?
