Not quite - there are I think 287 countries in the world. The report states that it did not include countries such as Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq because they lacked data.

The personal test must be to imagine you are flying to the Philippines and are told the plane is being asked to land in 'Country X' - how would you feel if 'X' was Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq? Would you prefer it landed in the Philippines?

I note that Saudi Arabia is 54th safest (of those included) - but 'safe for whom'? They seem to make a habit of finding Filipinas (and I suspect, other women from poor countries) guilty of murder and beheading them. I can only imagine the shocking 'justice' given to these vulnerable woman, many abused in a country where only men are right. One was a very young girl accused of murdering the baby in her charge - they probably would never accept 'sudden death syndrome' or even that the parents might be responsible. It MUST be the poor girl.

I hope soon the Philippines can provide enough jobs and stop sending their people to Middle-Ages countries to be used and abused ... and slaughtered.

I feel that the name should be changed to an unpronounceable symbol.
