You will get this anywhere if fibr available. Just after they install it, later the limiter settibgs will be set, then youbcan get what you pay for... Up to..
Is Fibr available in any of these locations: Valencia, Tanjay, Bais, Bayawan, Bacong or Dauin? (I assume that it is available in Dumaguete.)
No, but it will be. It is a huge project all over the islands. The fibr is put everywhere. When will it be available where... Look at the original post, nobody knows.
hahaha, yes the Philippine answer to everything. Yes of course available Sir. Oh you want to avail? No stock right now, sorry Sir... Will be in stock.... soon
They have just laid fiber from valencia to bacong, took about 2 months for then to do that bit, they seem to have some good drilling equiptment now,no idea when it will be available though.
Since my first port was june 1 2016 and that was the first sign i saw of PLDT boys putting Fibr here in the poles and a lot around in the ground one can assume that after the first signs of Fibr in your street it could take a year before you are connected.... But this is just one experience based on my own. Could be that the waiting was for some main connection being made somewhere else. I see all over Valencia the same cables going in the poles, so i would expect the first barangay's the be connected after the easier installations in Dumaguete is done. But best is to ask the PLDT people hanging in the poles in your street... if any. The cables in the ground is only the first phase, later the cables goes in the poles and when the black pldt boxes in the poles are connected you can asume there is a fibr waiting for you...
As of last March they (Fil-Products with whom I have ADSL Internet/Pay TV) had Fiber-Optic to the Maluay Bridge here in Zamboanguita, they told me they are rolling out to Dumaguete from Zamboanguita and a quick search the other night revealed Fil-Products use several companies. Listed in my search were; Appollo Global - Bayantel - PLDT and some Taiwanese Company. (I assume the Taiwanese Company is the one who supplies the Pay TV connection due to the Chinese Subtitles on most programs) Interesting; as I was told that Bayantel were bought out by Globe, yet Globe told me they have no Towers here so are not connecting customers to the internet here in Maluay, same story from PLDT when I enquired regards Internet and a Landline at home here, so in a round-about way, they (the above) are connected with Fil-Products to supply a local service, so maybe Fil-Products are going all out to fill a big void here, if so; I wish them well as I am very happy with the service I have here and I am sure others will be also very happy when/if it arrives to a Highway near to them in time to come.
quite waking these people up.. they need their naps while at work.. here is your answer plain and simple.. apply it when appropriate or not.. NO
I have Phil Product lines running right across my property but when I wanted to get cable they told me that I would have to have a line laid for almost a half mile to my place. Apparently someone did a study and it showed sparce properties near my place as we all have a hectar or more so they put the drop in the area of highest density. Never mind that I am the only one that could afford cable tv and the ratio of tv:people is about 1:500 around the drop. I am guessing that you haven't been in the Philippine long enough to know that there is no such thing as reliable information here.
