Wow, if I had that much of a problem with the site I would either just shut down the forum or lock it down to very specific types of discussion and a tight leash. The latter would likely require a lot more work, but former would free you up quite a bit.
If the site was shutdown, then I would have to change my signature to it's origin. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste". I enjoy the site immensely. Many here including yourself The Dude have taught me much. Let's all contribute to see it to it's success.
Appreciate it. I'm glad some of the things I have posted have been useful. I wouldn't shut down the site, just the forum. Though I don't want to see the forum shut down either.
I suppose adding a political sub-forum may encourage even more political discussions. It also may inadvertently change the personality of the forum if only cosmetically (we invite political discussions.) However, if this content is already getting posted, then why not just create a place for it?
I may have been a good moderator then, because I could give a rats @ss if I were the 2nd most hated expat in Dumaguete. Threats wouldn't bother me either (though that's probably easier to say when those threats aren't being sent my way.)
With possibly a 500 word disclaimer that the management allows the posts but does not necessarily agree with any of them.
