If you went by the post office yesterday or today, it is closed. According to a text from my buddy in that office, it will reopen April 13. According to Manila PhilPost, mostly due to cancellation of flights, etc etc. I have not seen the memo. Curious if anyone saw a notice. Would be nice if they opened for one day (only postmaster has key apparently) so that those of us who only go once a week or so can pick up our trapped mail and packages ???
Now would be a good time for the post office (at least in Bacong) to get caught up on all the undelivered mail stored in their office. My hope for delivery are probably not realistic but they could at least sort it in alphabetical order.
As of 14 April, the Dumaguete Post Office is opening Tues, Wed, Thurs until 3 pm, not sure what time it opens, but morning. We picked up a package today that had been sitting there for a month. Boxes not restocked but they said they're workin on it (don't know if new mail or old mail)
