Using Time for mass downloads and another Promo for browsing is the strategy I have been using for almost a year now. A sim is less than $1 so to make it easy I have one sim for browsing and another for downloading. That way I don't have to switch the card back and forth, just keep in the browsing sim and swap in the download sim for a couple hours a couple times a month.

I recommend only loading enough on the sim for the amount of time you think you will be using and let it run out (I am rarely cut short and usually continue downloading past the time I paid for). If I guessed short, or it is slower that session, yes you can just add another p10 or whatever and keep going. I recommend NOT loading extra on it as it seems to use up extra load magically.

Yup that is the link, text TIME to 1111 and make sure to also text SURFALERT OFF to 8080 as surfalert will stop your data to 'protect you' from overcharged on your promo (protection you don't need because you only add load for the time you need and you certainly want to download more than 800Mb.

 

In PI since 25th, but the 300 load (new sim +load) at the airport was gone in two days due to tethering our Japan phones to the Phil phone. Somebody did a 50 pasaload to me but globe said I don't have enough load to avail of their unli so another 50 was added but then globe said they've detected multiple promo registrations so I waited for a while. I only need unli call and text btw but 25 was gone in a very short while even if wifi was off? I was advised to switch off cellular data also. I'm finally unli50 now but 25 is gone. What did I do wrong?
