Another 2 quakes earlier this morning, one around 2.15am near dauin, mag 2, and another 3.4 mag near bacong.
I also noticed phivolcs made another mistake on the ones the other morning, they were posted as being in zambo but now they have been moved to valencia on their website.

Historically, do you know if series of quakes like this in the Philippines usually lead to a big one? Especially in Negros?

Ive been here when we had a couple of big ones, one of 6.9 up the east side of the island and the other was the bohol quake of 7+.
We have never had the epicenter near here for a big one so hope it stays that way. Saying that the mountains are dormant volcano so who knows.

I have noticed the Mineral Water Dispenser has been doing a fair bit of sloshing lately here. (Maluay) Sometimes we can notice it if we are laying or sitting, each time we check on the Mineral Water and if it is sloshing side to side that is our indicator that we have just had another tremor... Works as well as, if not as reliable as, my Weather Rock!

MANILA — Negros Oriental may experience an earthquake stronger than those that have been striking the province lately, particularly on the province’s southern portion, state geologists have warned.

“A potentially active fault there might generate such earthquake,” science research assistant Tom Simborio of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Friday.

Simborio said Phivolcs is monitoring the area, as the series of minor earthquakes there in the past week indicates possible activity or movement of the still-unnamed fault.

He, however, urged the public to keep calm and prepare for any eventuality.

“Communities concerned must prepare accordingly and avoid panicking,” he said. “Knowing how to duck, cover, and hold, as well as assembling emergency kits, are among earthquake preparations people must do.”

Phivolcs data show a magnitude 3.1 earthquake at struck at 5:46 p.m. on Thursday, 10 kilometers southwest of Valencia, the municipality that’s also called Luzurriaga and located in Negros Oriental’s south-lying third district.

The earthquake was felt at intensity 3 in Bacong and Valencia towns and at intensity 2 in Dumaguete City and Dauin town.

Another unfelt magnitude 2.3 earthquake occurred later at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, striking 17 km southwest of Valencia.

On Friday, February 2, three more unfelt magnitude 2.3 earthquakes southwest of Valencia followed at 1:10 a.m., 2:27 a.m., and 4:27 a.m., Phivolcs continued.

Another magnitude 1.8 earthquake took place at 2.36 a.m. Friday four km southwest of Zamboaguita town, also in Negros Oriental’s third district, the province’s southern portion.

Then again, a magnitude 2.7 earthquake occurred at 5:19 a.m. Friday 15 km southwest of Valencia.

Phivolcs is not expecting aftershocks and damages from the earthquakes.

But Simborio said Phivolcs is monitoring the flow of seismic activities in southern Negros Oriental, particularly since successive earthquakes also hit the Zamboanguita-Dauin area the previous week.

“Such earthquakes might be related to the successive ones that mainly struck Valencia this week,” he said.

I don't think they are mistakes. Earthquake triangulation takes time. Instead of correcting "mistake" I would say they are fine tuning their triangulation.

DUMAGUETE CITY -- The head of the Physics Department of Silliman University in Dumaguete City strongly believes that the ongoing earthquake events in Valencia, Negros Oriental are not tectonic but rather caused by volcanic activity.

This is contrary to the repeated statements of state-run Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) that the series of earthquakes is tectonic in origin and that these can be traced to the fault line from Sibulan town to the southwest of the province.

Professor Francisco Ablong, Jr., in an interview Monday afternoon, disclosed that his initial observations, based on data from Phivolcs, were inclined towards potential volcanic activity in the vicinity of the Cuernos de Negros.

Cuernos de Negros, locally known as Mt. Talinis, was categorized by Phivolcs as a potentially active volcano, although it had not erupted in thousands of years, he said.

The term “potentially active volcano” means that “it is really active only that the activity is not directly observable for now,” Ablong explained.

He further said, “there is that element of possibility that it will erupt but nobody can tell when but there are symptoms or indicators whether or not a volcano will erupt.”

“I am more inclined in saying that validation should be made on some kind of magmatic movement under the base of Cuernos de Negros,” Ablong said.

According to him, the earthquakes observed since January 1 this year and even those earlier occurred at the “base of the volcano” - referring to the areas that were at the foot of Cuernos de Negros.

The Physics professor said he had plotted these earthquakes based on data gathered from Phivolcs, which pointed to possible magma rising from underneath the base of the volcano.

The earthquakes that are happening are concentrated somewhere in the vicinity of Cuernos, and “we cannot consider immediately based on the data that the cause is tectonic because when we say tectonic, before a series of earthquakes, the biggest to happen is the main shock,” Ablong pointed out. "There was no main shock."

More than 100 earthquakes had already been recorded by Phivolcs in Valencia since January 1st and data showed that there were smaller tremors occurring before the biggest one so far took place on January 27, he said.

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake, which Phivolcs plotted as having a reference point in Dauin, occurred around 6:21 a.m. on that day, but an hour or so before that, about three or four smaller earthquakes were recorded in nearby Valencia.

But there are indications, according to Ablong, of potential volcanic activity at Mt. Talinis, such as magma approaching the surface.
