On our morning walk yesterday we encountered a woman straining to drop a turd at the front gate of the police station. When we returned both were gone so assumed the many stray dogs there had gobbled the turd, like the baby diapers we see cleaned out in the street trash. Have seen toddlers dumping on the sidewalk but this was a first. Or perhaps she was just expressing an opinion.
Sometimes you have to express yourself in a stronger way, that would maybe be a way to get things changed, I don't know if that would be "littering", though...
In the UK No1's are Finable. (with Community service added, No doubt, cleaning up other peoples messes) No 2's can lead to imprisonment (I would imagine, 3 months for dumping on a Police Step) Then of course, we know where we are. Talking about Diapers, I have a 2.5 Meter wall all round yet, we sometimes get them thrown over , into the garden Of course no one ever sees anything. Is it common, for people to walk about carrying used Diapers or is the corner of my Lot, a baby changing station ? JPO-|
I now live in a huge and KINDA good, kindw well maintained and kinda prestigious subdivision where kinda educated Filippinos live. Same old story here: garbage thrown over onto the bluegrass, roads, paths and any public places. But here the difference is in the evening when the sun sets thousands of helpers go out and clean it all. About 1 hour per day as I noticed each helper spends on this. Rationally? In a club house there are several containers for separate garbage collection, you knoew tat type "ddegradable", "glass", "plastic" etc. And each time there is a huge mountain of diferent type of garbage thrown NEXT to it and arround it. Which also makes me feel confused...if you were able to bother yourself to walk to that area holding your stuff with an intention to have it thrown kinda in a proper place what happened to you right after you reached the place? System error? "Put garbage into the tank" - mistake 404? Page not found? Oh it would be "more fun" if it was not so sad And yes, I hapened to be one of complainers eheheh M
Found this sign View attachment 11025 in a public park in Mainz, Germany. Evidently pissing anywhere is still a problem in "first-world" countries, too. But, notice the plea is in English, not German!
