Here is another link about fake honey:

    https://www.albeena.co.uk/blog/13-ways-to-recognise-real-honey-from-fake-honey/

Honey is one of the most adulterated food products in the world. Most of it (surprise, surprise) comes from China. I don't know how strict the Food Authority (NFA) of the Philippines (or is it the FDA ?) checks these imports. It could be they are not as strict as other countries. But let's be fair, some years ago we also had a "honeygate" in Europe when we were flooded with fake honey. Let's hope this is not the case any more. Europe or anywhere else in the world. Wishful thinking.[emoji12].

I'm guilty of this as well. If I have to choose between two similar products I choose the one with the best resealable packaging for this reason.
Many of them don't know that their butter isn't butter. Every single time I have asked for butter in Valencia I have been handed margarine...on of them even had "butter" in the brand name. It was in a nice resealable package so I took it anyways.

Define "healthy". Bacon, chicken, lard, butter, olive oil, beans, dairy, vegetables, all kinds of fruits, deserts, coffee and alcohol are all part of my diet. Some may say that some of those things are really bad for your health but I would disagree. If it fits your macros (IIFYM or "flexible dieting") is a great way to build a proper and healthy diet without missing out on the things you love to eat that make you happy. Nothing really needs to be excluded. Obviously you should avoid junk/prepackaged/heavily processed foods when possible even though they could easily "fit you macros" since they lack the micronutrients you need but I think it is just common sense to eat those things in moderation.

Didn't he say the honey makes the drink taste "tolerable"? When I screw up in the kitchen those meals tend to be tolerable but if that were a regular thing I would have given up a long time ago. Tolerable is bordering on failure IMO. The same ingredients could be added to meals that taste far better than tolerable to reap the same health benefits.

I agree with your views on healthy diet but would add a note about the psychological benefits of having things you enjoy. I can see that @Liverpool fan drink is giving him nutritional benefits and making him feel happy (camper) and relaxed at the start of the day.

i am thinking double or triple the cost of "local". i have compared prices previously and could not justify the difference. good thread here. i have wondered about the sources. you see honey in buckets (bring your own jar) and the sale at the apo island dock. never did trust those as the honeycomb in the bucket looked to be a hundred years old

also see jars of it for sale in local markets i agree it is one of the most adulturated/concocted products in the world. i buy GVT at cangs which is at least the expected color and viscosity. if we are all happy eating make believe honey wonder what it says about the real thing?

A healthy and balanced diet is going to do FAR more for your immune system and health than any drink or supplemental concoction. Nothing wrong with what you are doing, of course, it's just something I think far too many people believe is a simple cure to horrible nutrition. If a person is already on a healthy "diet" then this won't hurt to add to it.

Good healthy drink. It is my understanding, never to heat up honey for the most benefits. Why? The internet is full of advise on this.

But if this already works for you, keep doing it.

Back to the subject, real honey. I used to buy the 'real camiguin' honey at hyper but stopped because i dont like the flavor anymore. A bit chemical in my opinion. I am no expert to tell if that means fake.

Will keep following this tread for advise where and how to buy real honey.
