    I was told at the bank for the 10,000 I can not withdraw it as it goes to the government. I already deposited it. Is this true. I thought it was mine.

    It's in an escrow account. You can withdraw it if you present the documents for a long term lease on a house and lot, or purchase of a condo. Also if you decide to revoke the SRRV. In that case, if you imported personal effects duty free, you may be liable to pay the import duty, or export your effects.

    My understanding is that the deposit is kept until the SRRV is terminated or the death of the SRRV holder.

    You should be able to get the deposit back if you terminate your SRRV application.

    There may be an issue with the approx. $1,400 application fee. Check with Jemma for the details of the application fee.
