It does not work. They send me back at the checkpoint city entry about 1 hour ago. The red monday pass doesn't let you go into Dumaguete, only Bacong area. The LGU says, you can go to Duma on

    SUNDAYS 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    TUESDAYS 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    THURSDAYS 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

ONLY residents from Cluster 1 Bacong, Dauin, Zamboanguita, Valencia, Siaton, Sibulan and San Jose will be allowed entry but only to buy basic necessities, food and medicine or access medical assistance and essential health services.

PERSONS belonging to Clusters 2, 3 and 4 will only be allowed entry to access medical assistance or essential health services in the city.

This is really a very difficult decision to have made - give the problem to different people and you will get different answers. It seems the idea was that the virus was being knocked down but they wanted it to 'throw in the towel'. Also, people are avoiding lesser rules put in place.

I feel very sorry for the vendors and others losing their income but I cannot criticise this decision as none of us know what the outcome would be if ECQ was not put in place.

Sometimes we have to accept that others decide, we go along with it and then let them put the pieces back together again afterwards (helping if we can). Your country has done a good job in the circumstances and I don't feel any of us know enough to make the decisions they have had to make.

I think imposing ECQ is just too much considering that Dumaguete has managed to control the spread of the virus as shown in the number of infections and deaths. I think ECQ is unnecessary and the initial efforts of imposing curfew, banning public transports, parties and events, requiring the wearing of masks and social distancing have been effective in curbing the extent of the infection and are enough. But since Filipinos love drama, so there. Manila and Cebu, both congested and with the numbers of infections going up would be in a more fitting position to impose ECQ.

Rye, perhaps we have reached an overload point where one co-v forum collection forum is catching a virus itself. Up to you but I suggest maybe 3 categories:
    1. Government announcements - only you can update
    2. Personal experiences
    3. Opinions, what worked, didn’t work
Members have a need to communicate and keep up to date and keep our sanity.
