It certainly was nice when it was here and a nice break from the heat, looking at the forecast from next Wednesday looks like there maybe a few thunder storms about, it can change here quickly though.
Also just got back from town and it was very hot.

Maybe it will eventually be one of those "be careful what you ask for" scenarios. Remember Sendong was in December.

MANILA – Expect rainy weather ahead as a new typhoon approaches the country this week and enhances the southwest monsoon (habagat), weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

PAGASA weather forecaster Meno Mendoza said typhoon ''Soudelor'' (international name) will enter the Philippine area of responsibility this Wednesday and enhance the southwest monsoon.

The typhoon, which will be named Hanna once it enters PAR, will move towards Taiwan and avoid making a landfall in the Philippines, Mendoza said.

Soudelor was packing maximum sustained winds of 194 kilometers per hour and gusts of 240 kph as of 2 a.m. Monday, according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the intertropical convergence zone is currently affecting Palawan and Mindanao
