A friend of mine sent me a Special Pen, with a built in Flash light for night writing, a Blue Light Lamp and a Red Laser Beam. I used the blue light to check if a 20 Pesos bill was real or not. When a bill is real, you can see the white lines in the bill, normally invisible.See pictures and result.
Fake ? With the cost of printing plates, paper, ink, time in prison etc it is never worth forging small denominations of bank notes. If any notes are going to be fake in any country beware the middle notes, check out the P500. Its not worth the investment for return in any country to copy a small note. But this is the Philippines
Will that pen still work if a 20P note is worn down to tissue paper? :D Won't it burn a hole in it? :D
[B][The pen works best on 10.000 pesos bills....sorry I didn't have one at home when I made the test......ROFL/B] Do you know what makes this five-peso Philippine bill a fake? If you don’t, these pointers from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on how to spot fake currency will definitely come in handy. ■Genuine currency notes are a bit rough in texture while counterfeit bills are very smooth. ■Genuine bills also have embossed watermarks. They have window security thread, colored green to magenta when exposed to light. ■For P10 and P5, genuine coins are not magnetic, have deep “griddings”, and made of smooth, fine metal. Designs of counterfeit coins are off-centered. ■Genuine one centavo to P1 coins can either be magnetic or non-magnetic. But the BSP said no coins of such denomination have been faked yet. ■Lastly, authentic currencies don’t have Manny Pacquiao’s face. Well, not yet, that is… Money, money money is very funny in a rich man's world! He quit smoking many years ago......and he never smoked cigars..... But once in a while he fired up a Lucky Strike! NO, the BLUE LIGHT will make it disappear! I personally prefer the 1000 pesos bills.....LOL
