    Wasn't there something posted about a Philippine law stating you have the right to refuse to pay for services and maybe goods if you are dissatisfied?

    It wasn't topic of a post, but something posted in a reply if I remember correctly..

    Not sure what you are looking for, but I would suggest you start in the consumer protection act;

    THE CONSUMER ACT OF THE PHILIPPINES - CHAN ROBLES VIRTUAL LAW LIBRARY

    I'd found that earlier, but it didn't seem to address the subject of refusing payment for poor services.. I'm pretty sure I saw it on DI, not the Cebu forum.

    I'm curious at this also. I have both globe and pldt being pissy with me now as I had dsl with both and terminated my contract early for lack of service yet they expect me to pay still. Used to work over the net and needed a 2MB connection min and both worked great for the 1st 1-2 months but come month 4 I was complaining for the next 3 months every day almost for getting usually 1/2 MB or worse service. PLDT actually downgraded me to the 1MB service w/o telling me while still charging me for the 2MB service. Ended up telling both to shove it where the sun don't shine. Even talked to PLDT nicely when realized they downgraded my service and they were quick to fix it back to reading 2MB service but when I said I'd stay with the 1MB service they "accidentally" downgraded me to as long as my bill also reflected that they said that would require the contract being renewed.

    So yah, I'd be curious on what consumer protection laws there are also. Seems PI business's think your required to pay them for no service on a constant basis!

    I would swear I saw it here...but doesn't look like it.

    You can go to DTI, they handle some forms of consumer complaints. Also see the Ombudsman, wherever he's at in town.

    (This post is not about the p20 I was charged for butter at a local restaurant btw)
