I see comments about the French owners. They left and trail of destruction, money owed and a real mess behind them. Apart from illegal gambling the place didnt make a penny and it was run into the ground. Thats how they survived. Such a shame because as an inner city Resort not a Bar, Black Pearl has lots of potential. I know the new owners very well and wish them all the success.

Starting from Robinson,s heading towards Bacong their is 11 foreign owned places to eat and drink before the city limits , how many is enough and how many think they can survive ,as i see it the person that owns the building is the one making the money and if i owned such a sight i would lease to an expat and sit back and watch him work 14 hours a day in order to make ends meet.

You are so right here, they work moistly 14-16 hours and make probably 300-500 pesos so really not worth all the headaches you will have as a business owner.
