This morning Dave lost his battle with cancer and died at home peacefully in his sleep. Dave is survived by his wife Charisa, daughters Asira and Ouida Belle and son Owen. His body will be at their home in Valencia this afternoon for those that want to visit. At the moment we mourn his passing. Maybe later we can celebrate his life. There are probably a lot of great stories to remember him by. I need help from someone with knowledge about benefits for dependents of US citizens. Please PM me.
I only know Dave for a short time but absolutely a good and interesting person, RIP Dave and condolence to Charisa and kids
Dave's Funeral was not at the Church in Valencia, I know I was there at 10am this morning, shaved showered an dressed Wi Ma Kilt On, I should know better being a Scotsman; if you believe all you hear, you will eat all you see?
Correct. I arrived at the Church at 10:00 am and caught up to the tail end of the procession to the cemetery. It seems since Dave in not an RC the priest just came out from the church sprinkled some holy water on the casket in the back of the hearse and off they went to public cemetery. At the cemetery a lay preacher said some prayers.
I might be interested in some of his ice cream machines to try some recipes. I made acquaintance with him and his wife several years ago at one of the Buglasans and swapped a few tales. With as many outlets as he had creating the mixes and freezing the ice cream was a full time job for him and his workers. David bought his bulk ice cream machines directly from China which probably need major maintenance by now due to extensive use. With his battle with the business and his cancer he probably didn't act on a continuation plan for his wife and children taking over the business and availing of the government benefits his descendents could be entitled to. The primary needs are cash while the unknown works out for good or bad. The widow and children are instantly poor in a land of the poor. We wish them well. shakey aka John
