Have any of you ever noticed the entrance/exit areas to the Mall. There 5 areas total. Each entrance/exit area has two sets of two doors each for a total of four doors per area (one actually has 3 sets of 2 doors). One set of doors is manned by a guard and generally only one of those two doors is used for both entry and exiting the mall. The other door is closed and the other set of two doors is LOCKED sometimes with chains. Herein lies the problem. If there was ever an emergency in the mall (fire, flood, smoke, bomb threat, etc...) and any sort of panic ensued there would be many injuries and possibly death due to this door situation. Can you imagine on a weekend day with the mall packed with thousands of people and them all running to the exits and trying to squeeze through those single and maybe two doors available at each of the 5 areas. Well you get the picture. Lots of suffocation and broken bones, and death will definetely occur as it now stands. Despite talking to them nicely on two serparate occasions they refuse to at least unlock those extra sets of doors in each area. I din't say open. Only unlock!!! And this is from a modern mall with years of management experience. UN-FREAKIN REAL!!!!!

Regardless, I would think it should go under the code of common sense. Funny thing is the robinson administration offices are located in what amounts to a coffin location upstairs with no windows for escape avenues.

Reminds me of a emergency exit notice on a train in europe that one of my friends posted on facebook. It was a solid glass window and the label said "In event of emergency break glass" I would suggest the same at the mall.

Also there is an exit from the 2nd floor near the Theater.

Even so the mall is mostly concrete and steel I doubt that a fire is the biggest worry.

They're only glass, cheap glass at that, I'm sure a manly-man somewhere in the mall could break them.
Or get one of the "cute, cuddly animals that your kids will love to drive" and ram Mr. Squirrel through the plate glass windows.

    hmn... here are some thoughts..
    1. Every entrance/exit has a guard/person 90% of the time. Meaning, in case of any emergency, the guard can open the glass door right away.
    2. Robinsons' is usually teaming with people (shoppers/strollers) on weekends and on special occasions.. mostly its less crowded. A person can easily get out from there fast.
    3. Compared with LP's only 2 entrances/exits, which place should you be more worried about??

    just my 2 cents...
