more stores closed/moved than open...maybe they should raise the rent some more so everyone else moves out...great business plan!

So the government is requiring them to keep better books, which I assume is for tax collection purposes? Are the other, smaller, malls following these guidelines/laws as well or are they just skirting under it because they are less visible for now? What happens after the government gets the big guys in check and starts painting the bullseye on smaller businesses? Seems the Philippines government is starting to get serious about taking their cut. It will eventually hit every business and be passed on to the customers. Ready for more inflation and price hikes?

What a great idea. With faster internet, Netflix and other online movie services, a movie theatre is something I will really invest in to make a killing.

Sure, the most obvious one being a sales tax. When Amazon grew to be Amazon that was a big deal, no sales tax for almost everybody. There are also state and local minimum wages, parking regulations concerning the number and type of parking spaces available and runoff mitigation, property taxes. Amazon can pick places that area either favorable to it or negotiate favorable terms from local and state governments regarding these types of things.

Im not sure the owner of robinsons cares what anyone thinks, its just the chinese/fil way of doing business take it or leave it. None of the supermarkets are any better. I just prefer to shop elsewhere due to price.

A lady was buying several cases of soft drinks and juices. They were in cases of 24. The cashier was counting each item. The buyer was charged by the piece not the case.

There’s no store coupons..no sales...no flyers...the items that Robinson’s will put on sale...are approaching the expiration date or the item is expired.

Eggs are never refrigerated. How long do the eggs sit on the shelf?

Many malls in Switzerland looks like Robinsons mall in Dumaguete in the case of closed shops inside the malls. And then there are so many closed shops inside the cities in Switzerland. The overregulations in Europe are killing the smaller businesses with taxes, regulations, fees, rules, law and so on. Fortunately this does not apply to the Philippines st the moment.

I just use the stairs next to the lift, but if one has difficulty in walking could be problematic.
