Same with the Doc Martins from the UK they last for many years. It often pays to buy quality. Nowadays its all throwaway isn't it, and false economy.
It was President Nixon that opened the door for the Chinese. Now the Chinese are Rome...and we are Carthage.
Bought once quite expensive shoes from a well known shoe chain in Switzerland. After 3 months all threads were dissolved in the rain. And today the price does not show any hint if something is qualitative well. The pants I bought 6 years ago in the Lee Plaza are still in a good condition. Only the pockets have to be fixed because my keys did made a hole.
Some of my greatest memories are going with my father to Sears..on a Saturday. Today I never hear..”Daddy can we go to Robinsons.”
One of the workers at Sans Rival told me it will be a movie theater, but not confirmed by anyone else.
I think they are preparing for a remodel, so they are moving vendors out of their spaces and into kiosks out on the mall floor. Sadly, construction takes forever here, so it's probably going to get a lot worse before it gets better. The place will look like a Gaisano mall for the next 2-3 years. :-(
i was talking with the manager of national bookstore a few months back. he told me robs was making them move, and increasing theri rent by 70%. said teh store had alreayd been losing money due to overhead, and was going to close permanently. i think many stores will be closing permanently.
What a great idea. With faster internet, Netflix and other online movie services, a movie theatre is something I will really invest in to make a killing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Like the Gaisano Capital in Ormoc City? It is so empty now due a serious incident in the year 2017. And the Robinsons in Dumaguete will become that empty also if Robinsons keep up that mess.
