Maybe with the new competition uptown at City Mall, Robinson's will get it together. Of course, I've only lived here about 6 months; from reading these forums I think I might be naive about them getting it together.
So the bamboo telegraph says city mall has some serious issues with parking now, they were supposed to have parking on the roof for several hundred cars but now an inspection has been done this will not happen due to the design. Too many engineers were used in the design of the mall each with different ideas of how things should be,now it comes to light that the roof will only hold around 70 cars so now will not open until this mess is sorted out. It never ends here with incompetence.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I think it would have been More incompetent to have let it open Damned of they do and damned if they Don't.
It's just a rumor: Possible solutions could be: -prop up the ceiling with Coco Lumber -make the ground floor into parking and put the shops on the roof under tarpaulins. People that don't like to walk will be happy to park inside. Heck it's even better than parking at the front door.
This is Philippines. Do you mean it will hold 70 Hyundai Eons or 70 Fortuners. Also, if the roof will only hold 70 "space" wise then its ok with me but if you mean it will only hold the weight of 70 cars I would not want to be in the mall trusting the roof parking attendant to make sure the weight limit is not exceeded.
By the way, we were at Rob's mall two days ago (friday 1/20) and the two escalators to the front of the side entrance are outta commissh again..
I found the key to the escalators, there are two, one up and one down in the Robinson's store (not the overall mall) that seem to always be working. These two seem to always be working, while only 50% of the rest are working throughout the mall. Interestingly, you have to walk through and look at things in Robinson's Department store to get to the two escalators.
