Travel! Patty! How nice if all could travel, I agree with you, some of us have Travelled a lot, Enjoyed a lot, Experienced a lot. Unfortunately most of my adoptive extended Family could not Travel, So me and my US Nephew-in-Law have tried to bring it to them, This weekend I will Give them what like all in one dish, "SPANISH PAELLA" Now that! I know they will enjoy. Jack P.
To me is entirely the opposite......my better half has spent most of her life in the UK and has fit in very well with the locals' lifestyle. She is brilliant in the kitchen so fast food is rarely an option we consider having. Once in the Phils, she reverses back to the pinoy culture and lifestyle and one struggles to recognise her.....but hey, that's why I love her so much, the genuine article, not adulterated by the big city bright lights. Scones and cream and a full english breakfast......yummy!!
yes my wifie would not try any Ausie /western food, she was a rice & dried fish pinoy aswell, now she attacks my yogurt (the first time she tried it she almost threw up), demands bacon & eggs at least 2 or 3 times a week for breaky, has toast & jam & coffee for breakfast most days, ah an now likes sandwiches for lunch & vegies & pork/chicken for evening meals, ah but she still loves balut hemm not for meI think the feathers & claws would only get as far as my throat, I could not handle cooking 3 times a day, she has not been to Australia yet so i have to be the teacher lol. trying to get her to stick up for her self here also, I love to stick it to the casheir if they are too slow it took me over 40 minutes for her to move 3 trolies of groceries, she even had a bagger, I guess i am use to woolies in AU where it takes only minutes to get through the counter.
