Glad to open this subject as requested
Wherever you go in this World there is a code of conduct
Feeling safe in the Philippines. The same rules apply to other countries as well.
Anybody want to voice an opinion on what to do or not to do to remain safe ?

    Just to help you Knowdafish
How about taking children to Philippine destinations.
Here in the UK some Western Fathers have reservations even when the Mother is a filipina, that some areas are not as safe as others.

Well seeing as you asked the question Jack
I have been in Mindanao when helicopter gunships were flying over my head
Also when in Manila people (Filipino's) were telling me dont go to Mindanao!!
I might add that I have only felt unsafe once while in Mindanao and found most people very nice and hospitable.
But I would not go to Malawi?

If i do "some research" on how many aviation accidents have occurred the last 30 years that i come to the Philippines, i will not fly to the Philippines anymore, for sure.

 That's a heck of a Long Drive from Belgium then, but what has this to do with Safety of our children and family, Statistics show that air travel is still the safest form of transport. Your Opinion is well noted and of course is appreciated. :o

:( MyWife has never nor wanted to go to Mindanao for the very same reason you state, My MIL has never been to Manila for the stories she hears. So I guess we all do that Little bit of research and can feel better for it, we will never get it all right but at least we can heed some if not all the warnings we get. I wouldn't come with you john boy if you did go to Malawi:D I was not keen on Baghdad either but then I was in uniform. have a Good Day and I will enjoy a Further chat maybe tomorrow.
