    Well,
i am happy to see that that are some possibilities. I only have to say that small boats, like you want to order have a problem when it comes to seakayaking. Say i do want to paddle to Siqiour in a small boat. To keep a boat on course you need a long waterline, and to make speed as well. (normal kayakspeed is 3/4 miles an hour,). Small boats are good for playing and enjoying near the coast in the surf. And that can be fun as well.

Under you will find some info from seakayakblogs around the world:
Paddling Planet. This one is an overall blog. Collected from all kind of Paddlers.

The other one is from a Kayakcollegue in Scotland.
    Sea kayaking with SeaKayakPhoto.com

YouTube - This is the Sea 3

YouTube - This is the Sea 4

just remember you have to build up your skills and the things you see on the video are experienced paddlers...this will take time.

I just place these links here to let people see what is all possible in a seakayak and that the environment of the Philippines can be a seakayakparadise.

    Regards Jörgen

I remember looking at some very nice true sea kayaks while back in the US a while ago. They had lots of storage and a rudder to keep you on course and yes, they were long. Made of fiberglass and very expensive. I would love also to find some of these available here.

Well these are the kayak i am looking for. Still most kayaks in Asia are from the renting firms. They do day trips etc..
But it will not take long and the Kayakscene will discover the Happy Islands of the Philippines, although it will be not that much, just a handfull.

My goal was to get more people interested in the sport. Maybe we can plan some trips? This one looks like it would do very well. It has the mirage drive included and can be outfitted w/ a sail too. I'm not sure the price but I'd bet it's not less than $1500!

If you guys have time on your hands why not build your own kayak, they are fairly easy to make using the plywood 'stich & glue' method. Also you can make exactly what suits you best, to your own spec. They work out alot cheaper than shop bought Kayak's, and are light and strong (as long as you use good epoxy and marine ply). When i finally get to PI I will build my own for inter Island trips.
Check this site out for plans of stich and glue boats bateau2

    Broadwater-marine,

I don't think you can receive PM's yet. At any rate, I am interested in getting an ocean kayak. How much does it cost for each unit, and how much to ship to Dumaguete/Siquijor (I noticed you're from Subic)? How will shipping be handled? I am particularly interested in a 16-foot 2-man kayak. Do you have a catalog?

    Thanks.
