This war is obviously a political battle for an enrichment of a few politically connected on both sides, and the brain washing of many innocent people. If someone really wanted to end it then it would end. Use the C-130 with thermal cameras and drop a little left over napalm on the warm spots. I am sure things would heat up quickly and the battle would burn itself out. Radical approach..... YES... but not as radical as sitting and waiting for the next "be-heading" with sympathy tears rolling down your cheeks for the kidnappers who have been maligned in the past and continue to act as savages today. Obviously my post is not Politically correct. Sorry but I have as little sympathy for the residents of the island as they have the Canadians that can not longer breath. I figure everyone on the island that gives the evil ones protection gets a share of the pie... so they are all involved one way or another. There may be no innocent people living on the island.
