    This is a little bit off topic but related. Just in case you weren't aware, the US government opened up to veterans some free online security training courses that were formerly restricted to the military and govt. employees. Veteran status is verified through Troop ID (free), which is a private identity contractor that the VA has started using for some verification purposes.
