Sealed it sahara, added to the concrete mix. I think its malignium, something like that. Most all the hardware stores who sell cement has it, water proofing, 1 small bag to one sack cement. its about 50 peso a bag.

after thought, instructions. I mixed sahara in and poured the floor that I had already formed, with the re-bar. Then started laying blocks up for walls, had rebar bent from floor upwards and slid some blocks down maybe was overkill. Them after completing sides and ends, used 8 inch plywood strip in the inside corner touching about 3 or 4 inches to the side and end, a wedge. The outside corner, used 2 plywood strips to make the L around the corner. Tied the top with wire and drove a stake at the bottom. the inside bottom to secure it, placed a board to thge oposite corner pourd the corner, then framed in the top using the clamps to hold the plywood strips and poured the top[ ring. Then coated the interior just like they do the walls of a house,. I used the Sahara on everything. I have 3 tanks, 2 smaller for cows abd one larger one for watering all else.

I would think re-bar bent from floor up was a pretty good move , a quantity of water has a surprising amount of outward pressure , thanks Robgie

robgie...it is funny you mentioned the Sahara product. Our mason recommended using it as an admixture (been ordered as we need quite a bit) for the roof slab. I have been a bit concerned about using it as an admix as everything I could find with Mr. Google's help was that it was being used as a patch or in rendering. You've eased my mind that you have used it successfully.

Energy Saving , anyone considering buying an air conditioner , should really weigh up 'a bit extra now , but save later ', inverter type a/c units use a lot less electricity , than the constant speed compressor type. Constant speed type units , start up and run flat chat until set point temperature is achieved , then just keep doing the same to maintain that temperature set point , a lot of electricity is used on start up and also because it just runs at full speed , inverter type units have a variable speed compressor , that comes on to achieve set point , but ramps up and down to maintain the set point temperature , they use a lot less juice than constant type , eventually you do get your extra outlay back in the form of savings on your elec. bill . Avoid buying old stock with r22 refrigerant , this type of gas is being phased out worldwide because of it's effect on the ozone layer , hence it is becoming very expensive to purchase r22 refrigerant (a leak or other fault may cause probs) all units now generally run on 410a refrigerant

I success fully used Sahara and also a liquid variety (forgot the name) on my ferro cement watertanks (32 and 50 ton) ferro pool and gutters. The big tank developed some hair cracks and stopped leaking after a kind of cristallyned material , the Sahara I suppose, formed and sealed the crack.
Last Sunday my wife and I visited your project and had a enjoyable chat with your fore woman Cherry, her parents and the dogs.

She told me you guys stopped by and it was an enjoyable visit for her. She runs the project with an iron fist; I keep teasing her that for the other projects I want to do, I'll have her run them and I'll stay home with a cold beer.

You just look around and see how many Government buildings there are that are designed with energy saving in mind, I would argue that there are NON, then try to find a Government installation that is collecting rain water, for example in the basement of the building, that would provide cool water year round, again NON, do you see the Government spending money wisely, no again, there is no way that you can get this things to change without doing it yourself or have the resources come in from abroad by some to do it...
