does anyone know how to send $30 USD, door to door, to manila? here's the scoop; i have a panamánian document i need to have authenticated by the p'ma consul and they will only accept ($30) USD. it's difficult to get correct information but i recently spent 3+ hours in Dumaguete researching sending USD to manila and here's what i learned; Western Union, LBC, JRS and AIR 21 will NOT carry cash. LBC, will deliver pesos ''door to door'' but not dollars. i can send USD via Western Union but they don't actually carry my $30 and the recipient has to go to a WU office to pick it up and... a few months back i had a different document authenticated and i sent the p'ma consul $30 USD (at their request) via WU and then they wrote back telling me that WU only stocks $100 bills so i had to go back to WU and change the funds to pesos and resend. i find the $100 bill thing hard to believe but WHO can you believe here??? i didn't think to ask if i can deposit into their bank account but then... after exchanging several emails, they only thing they told me is they only accept USD. ideas/experience anyone? thanks, norm )~ wondering, if they only accept USD, how do they pay the staff, power bill, office rent, etc?
Just looking at my Western Union Form here in front of me and it has options to; "I want a Cheque Delivered" (Write the Address below) "I want the money sent direct to a Bank Account" "I want the money sent to a Mobile Wallet" Not sure if other WU Forms are different but maybe one of those is an alternative option for you? I also have the option of sending money to the destination in my choice of currency on my Form, so not sure if other WU Forms are different to those we have here in Oz? Cheers, Brian
