Well since I am now living here in the Philippines with my 13-A visa my wife and I decided to inquire if I can possibly avail this SCC.so the office told me ACR card is not sufficient have to have a Phil Passport or dual citizen to get one. I posted it here to get more information about it,i have doubts because the staff i was talking to in the SCC office had to call the boss on the phone and get back to me after talking to the boss. All is good now and again thank you everyone for the useful information.

Some say that they can get the card, and others say that it is illegal. Can someone tell me if this Senate Bill was passed? http://www.senate.gov.ph/lisdata/112729581!.pdf

I will not judge those who still use the senior citizen card, up to them to weigh the risk vs. reward. If they were legal, I could use one to buy monthly medication.

Nothing ignorant in showing elderly courtesy even if not mandated by law. Can never be illegal to accept that. But, it would be illegal to demand it.
[DOUBLEPOST=1442404314,1442404213][/DOUBLEPOST]Btw, the senior citizen discount only applies to the senior citizen. One can't invite their family for a dinner and have grandpa pay and get a 20% discount.
As for restaurants, the margins isn't that high. Getting 20% discount will eliminate the profit of the customer.

I would not take the discount but getting moved up in the checkout line is a nice thing.

Who needs a card? McDonalds usually gives me the senior price without asking. At Robinsons the cashier chases the younger locals out of line to service me first. Like Saint Reagan said to Walter Mondale they're probably just considering your youth <grin>
