I could never shoot an intruder just for breaking into my house and burglarizing. That might even be legal here (if you can legally discharge a firearm). But I could never do it.
Therefore I would never be concerned about a revenge murder from a brother for robbing my house.
You just do not kill people for theft of personal property; human life is much more important than money or things, all of which can be replaced and life cannot.
But I 'would' have the capacity to shoot in self-defense and in defense of harm to my family if I/they were in IMMINENT danger of loss of life. I have always assumed that was the purpose of owning a firearm in the US (along with Amendment 2 rationale), not to shoot burglars.
Given those circumstances, if there were revenge killings for defending your life against an intruder who actually threatens your and/or your family's lives, I would take my chances with the ire of the brothers later on than with the immediate prospect of losing my life 'right now'.

If the judicial system here was up to the job and made decisions based on law and not money there would be less reason to bump someone off over a dispute. And given the very high percentage of poor people here, I think that a photo or what ever of some villager pulling a gun over an argument does not in any way justify the insinuation that is the poor people who have the most guns. There can be no doubt that guns are owned by people who can afford them, not by the people who can barely afford to put decent food on the table.

Catch the killers and that acts as a deterrent to others. If the general view is that such crimes can be committed with impunity then the killings will not stop (or reduce, as killings happen everywhere in the World). Do they have people capable of investigating serious crimes?
There are other factors, such as poverty and gun culture at work here but effective deterrence is the real solution IMHO ('H' = humble!).-

so i think we all know that science and technology have had as a prime objective to move the kill zone out as far as possible. to that end my trek hybrid 21 speed bike has four hard points. on three are mounted a 30 inch bamboo pole, a rock and a jar of cayenne pepper. for close in work the fourth has a kitchen knife honed to a dull edge
i recently added a face mask that pictures a snotty nose. last but not least we all need to remember even mike tyson resorted to using his teeth in hand to hand work! NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!-

I've been told if you let off a warning shot the thieves will leave post haste. They want to steal your stuff, not get in a gunfight.

I have heard, although never been to, that Danao in Cebu is the gun capital of the Philippines. If you want it made, they can do it.-

When I was younger, some gang members in the US used to make their own “zip guns” made from radio antennas broken from cars using .22 cal rounds. I don’t know what they used for firing pins but they used rubber bands for it to hit the brass shell. Nor accurate but cheap and deadly enough.
