So I set-up a corporation in the Philippines a year ago for purposes of operating as a consulting firm in the future (2 years from now) and to hold my assets (funds and real property). The corporation was set-up with 60% Filipino ownership and 40% foreign (me). The thing is, I do not plan on moving to the PI permanently until 2 years from now, but I want to start opening a corporate bank account and sending some funds gradually. I already have the SEC registration, but no BIR coporate tax ID yet. Does anybody know what are the requirements to get a corporate tax ID? Will I be required to get the necessary local permits (mayor's permit, barangay clearance) even if this is only a consulting company (no employees, home-based business)?

Yes you need all, including fire extinguisher in your office, even you don't have an office.
