    I paid the original shipping agent in UK, and they sorted out the rest. I didn't have to pay import duty in Philippines because I did it under my SRRVisa. I believe it was about GBP5000, but I think that included packing up the house in UK . I don't have the paperwork any more, I'm afraid.

    I brought a 20' container from UK 6 years ago. UK shipping agents had a local agent (Goetz) in Manila. I visited them, filled in the forms and they handled the rest, including customs, transhipping the container to Dumaguete, unloading and delivery to Valencia.
    From UK, ship leaves once a month and takes 1 month to Manila. Customs / transhipping to Dumaguete took another 3 weeks.
