    There are several types I have seen, the one I *think* you are referring to is called a Fan Palm as far as I know, like this; (My Dad had one in our front yard as a kid back in Oz)

    The other is also called a Ruffled Fan Palm (as I have heard it) but is a different style;

    Another which is REALLY POPULAR here in the Philippines is the Australian Fox Tail (aka; Pony Tail where I come from) Palm;

    If you drive up toward caseroro falls about 1/2km from the falls on left there is a lady who has some nice plants over a large area. Her prices are pretty good or should i say better than valencia as she is the person alot go to buy to resell.

    Thanks for everyone who suggested checking Valencia for the shrubs. The plaza had tons of plants; got the shrubs I was looking for as well as the "fan tree" and the wife also picked up some more flowers and plants for her flower gardens as well as a few I did not know I wanted until I saw them. Prices were decent plus we spent another 1000 pesos to get everything delivered to Tanjay tomorrow...we did buy quite a number of plants/flowers/trees so money well spent.

    Thanks again!

    From memory mate those Fan Palms also hold water at the bases of their branches so you may wish to spray with something to avoid Mosquito traps in the garden...

    DSCF1001.JPG DSCF1002.JPG the "fan palm" is called travellers tree here. sometimes available at the road to Valencia, but quite a little bit expensive, I bought mine for 1000 pesos with a height of about 1 meter. It takes long time to grow high, but it's a real eye-catcher for a property. I have some fast growing bushes / small trees with yellow and violet blossoms for sale, you can txt me if interested.

    I did find a place on Facebook but not sure if it sells the exact Palm you are looking for. I will post both the name and link as last time I tried 3 times to add a Facebook link on another post reply it did not appear in the reply and left a large blank area below the reply... :o o:

    If only I could find the short video clip of the girl from "Date Movie" a parody movie where she slips'm down and FOOMP! Instant Afro! As the old saying goes regards giving the Shrubs a bit of a trim! :tongue: lol

    From memory I think this guy on Facebook has many Grafted varieties of Trees that he sends around the Philippines, if he has a Nursery, maybe you could contact him and see what he has and have them shipped to you via LBC or similar?

    Indian trees, we planted some in our garden 2 years ago. they are about 8 feet tall, take about 10 to 20 years to reach a decent hight.
