Crazy, the health care is not free in the PI so i dont think they trying to save the governments costs, as said above less rice for the kids, do you think tattay will quit smoking.
These taxes would be fair if there was some kind of infrastructure as to where the money was going,
Already most of the world has these money grabbing taxes and now PI has joined the line, This is going to effect a lot of people indeed, less food for many of the local people and less people choosing the PI as a retirement country.........

No need to die of lung cancer by smoking cigarettes/cigars or what's ever in the PH. A daily walk or sit @ Rizal blvd or Real ST (North&South Rd) will do the trick as well.

would be to have the yearly smoke test for vehicles done properly as detailed in the corresponding law and banned all those trucks, buses, cars, 2-stroke motorbikes/tricycles that don't match the requirements.

That would be the girlfriend / wife tax. They can't increase that tax as it has already emptied many bank accounts.
