I have used it and it's works on ants and I used it with our poultry and it did not affect their health or behavior, it did kill the chicken lies...
Used "1-2-3" Ant powder Applied some "1-2-3" power around the house. About thirty minutes later the ants were gone. The big advantage over the "Terro Liquid Ant Baits" from Handyman was cost. Their Terro was 495 P where as packet of "1-2-3" was 27 P from an Am-Vet store in town close to Marcury Pharmacy. The time of ant removal was minutes virus days..
location for purchase of "1-2-3" Sorry, I agree, there are a few. I am thinking of the one by the central market. if you go our the front door, turn to you right, and then immediately turn to your right again, you should be walking parallel to one of the sides of Mercury Drug where the trikes park in mass. Go almost to the end of the block and it is on the right, for the Am-vet store. They usually have small chick for sale at the front with many feed bags there. Ask the lady at the counter and they will go into the back storage area and bring you out a small pack. A little goes a long way so far for me. I do not know the impact rain has on it. Most of my ants around the house disappear with in a couple of hours.

Hi Dave,i would like to know how you prepared the 1-2-3 powder? did you mixed it with water and spray, or used baits? or what to mix it with.Big THANKS.
Picked up so e the other day, best thing since sliced bread! Just sprinkle a little on the runs,no more ants.
1-2-3 uses application I got some for Davy as you can see he is pretty happy. I have cats, so I spread it around very sparing. I have one small packet of 50 grams. It is barely used up and the ants seem to be under control, but like all terrorist they seem to come back in a new location. I just sprinkle a very small amount on trails, and the trail is gone, usually in about 30 minutes or less We spoke to a fellow with some medical background and he said a lot, most which I could not understand or forgot. However he did say the you should not ignore skin contact with the powder. Itis a very powerful poison. The only problem I have had with application is getting it to stick on the underside of eves where the ants have set up trails. Possible using peanut butter as a sticking agent may work. I have not solved that problem yet. I do not want to just be throwing the powder around.
I was wondering if it could be mixed with vaseline to put on trails coming down the walls, or under countertops....as opposed to peanut butter which would attract the ants?
methods of application Since Imp and Uggy are like my kids, even though they are only Persian cats, I am very wary as far as applying “1-2-3”. I choose peanut butter this morning outside because I wanted to attract ants to the poison. Someone in an reply on this or another thread mentioned peanut butter with borax. I had ants inside the house in mass this morning, coming around the house ceiling, and then out a window to under the eve/soffit area over to a vent into the roof. I could not get to the area inside the roof so I had to apply on the outside of the house. Four hours later, without applying any “1-2-3” inside the house, but by putting it outside the house, all the ants both inside and outside the house had disappeared. I am not sure whether it is acting as a contract poison or they are carrying back to their nest but they do seem to disappear. The package says you can use it as bait at night for cockroaches, so it may a bait. The peanut butter which was applied first to the outside of the house, and then “dusted” did not seem to have any “1-2-3” on it when I checked later. If anyone has information on this aspect I would appreciate the information. The impact of “1-2-3” does not seem too effected by water, which is both good and bad. It may hang around longer than I want, but does not seem to lose it impact over the nightly rains we have been having. The active ingredient is: Carbaryl (1-naphthyl N-methyl carbamate) 5%. This is pretty kick-@ss stuff so I give it a lot of respect.
