It's resolved. Here is my last email reply to "Galleon".

    Dear Ellaine,
How in the world could I open the package with out damaging it. It is obvious to me that Galleon has no intention of doing what is right or fair.
First I just now received your email stating that I have 3 days to return it in the original packaging. Two of those days are already gone. It is already Friday evening and that means that it could never get to you before Monday. Making it 2 day pass you no-refund 3 day dead line. What makes you think that I would be so foolish to send you back the part that you are not going to refund my money on and pay for the shipping on the return so you can not only cheated me out of the money, that I have already paid you, than you end up with the goods, my money and the cost of the return shipping. I was wondering how much of Galleon’s profit comes from ill-gotten games like the one you just pulled on me.
The good reviews on DI’s website of your services is about to turn sour.
You ask, "How would you rate the support you received?” I can not answer that with out using a bunch of profanity, so I will just say never again will we be doing any business.

I guess I will be buying a new lawn mower because I can not get a $13.00 plastic part. that has already cost nearly ₱1500.oo. ($28.oo) I sure Galleon would love to give you the same deal.

That was quite condescending and vindictive. Certainly wouldn't make me anxious to help if I were customer support. "Ellaine" wasn't the one that screwed up your order. Maybe try sugar instead of vinegar when dealing with customer support next time?

I can assure you that there will NOT be a next time for Galleon.

I posted this earlier, but am re-posting in case you didn't see it:

There is a Briggs and Stratton dealer in Manila:
You might give them a call.

    Philippines

    Location: Manila
    Name: Herco Trading Incorporated
    Phone Number: +632 818 7736
    Email Address: tem.tenorio@herco.com.ph

They can also be found on FB under Herco Trading Philippines. You could try to contact them there, too, to see if they can get your part.

I figured. The comment was a more of a "in general" type of thing.

I did it. I did away with the stress and aggravation. Bought a brand NEW mower yesterday. Placed the not so old one out in the street with a sign "FREE to good home". Looked out there 10 min. latter and it was gone, along with the stress that came with it. The sticker on the new mower; Built 2018 in New Zealand. My lawn now looks great. In hind site I should have $hit caned that mower right from the start, even if it was only just a $13 plastic part. The cost of dealing with these on line marketeers was more expensive than the new mower. The best experience here came from Briggs & Stratton. We all pay for our education in one way or another.

    Lesson learned. End of line.

That's a great positive here that almost everything is used by someone else when the current owner has no use for it.

Btw, did the sign go also (or perhaps ONLY the sign  )?
