Agree. Needed a replacement sim for the new phone (takes the new "nano" size SIM) and bought one directly from Globe a couple weeks ago. It was partially pre-cut so that it would fit any size phone. You just had to poke out the size you needed. In the past I had just used a box cutter/razor to trim the SIM down to the right size. This new nano SIM is basically just the size of the actual chip in the SIM card so you'd have to be very careful trimming that yourself.
Had to replace my sim the other day as had the old type and large, the phone died which it was in.the new Samsung phone had a smaller sim so borrowed a sim cutter from a mate then thought before cutting it something ain't right as it would have cut the metal strip. Next day went to smart in the mall and asked for a new micro sim with the same number. I was shocked when the guy said no problem sir we can do that for p60! He also told me do t ever throw away the credit card plastic sim surround as if you lose it you can't get the same number back if you lose your phone.
Thanks, I see p40 for the Globe LTE sim but the prepaid plans on the website are confusing the cr@p out of me. Need to have phone txt but don't do much of either, mostly interested in data. What version prepaid do you guys get?
How much data do you plan on using a month? For basic surfing/chatting/app usage Globe's GoSurf P299 plan is adequate. This will get you 1.5GB of data with "free" Facebook, Viber, Youtube and Spotify for a month. (I don't know if watching YouTube videos will count towards the data limit.....never tried it on mobile, internet is far to crappy to stream video.) To get that plan dial *143#. Text will put up then enter the following numbers (options): 5 (Surfing) 1 (GoSURF) 5 (More) 2 (GoSurf299) 1 (Subscribe). You'll need to have 299 pesos of load on your phone prior to doing this. If it's not enough for you you can always get the next plan up.

You dont have to take the preselected promos. Just use the GoSako by dialimg *143# Just remeber the more wants will cost more so before trying to go through the menus. Sit down get out a peice of paper and figure out the bare min you need first. That will be your baseline.

I bought a Globe Sim and p300 load last night (got a discount 40 + 300 = 335 since I purchased together). Phone is fine but just like in Guatemala and Hong Kong, no internet. Gotta take it back and let them fiddle with my phone settings to get it to work.
Trouble shoot a phone (Android) with internet problems in the following order: Make sure you mobile data toggle switch is turned on. Make sure you have 3G or LTE selected for your preferred network type. (LTE will eat up your battery, if you didn't get an LTE internet plan select 3G.) Try different Access Point Names. Try enabling the Data Roaming option. (Globe and Smart to not do the roaming thing. You simply won't be able to register a Smart SIM on a Globe or SUN network, so you don't need to worry about roaming charges.) Don't know what version of Android you are on but you should be able to figure out from looking at my settings: This is for Android 6.0.1. I believe that the previous version is the same, or very similar: Cellular Data toggle: Settings>Data Usage Preferred Network Type: Settings>More>Cellular Networks>Preferred Network Type Access Point Names: Settings>More>Cellular Networks>Access Point Names Data Roaming toggle: Settings>More>Cellular Networks> Note: I usually find that, when using a new SIM card, and the internet isn't working it is the APN that needs to be changed. You can see in my screenshot that I do not have the one selected that a person might think is the correct one (the one that says "Internet" will not get you internet on mobile with Globe). Try changing the APN to a different one, wait until you get signal again (changing the APN will drop the signal) and then wait another minute or two to see if you have internet. This should be indicated by small letter or symbol above the signal bar. If you don't try another APN.
Thanks, I hiked over to Globe at Robinsons Mall (I'm down by Flamin Grill this week while I look for a monthly rental) and they added the VPN name to get it to work. All good now.
Just remember that http.globe.com.ph >> Prepaid only Internet.globe.com.ph >> Postpaid only What I did was since I am using prepaid only. I went into the post paid an and deleted it so it doesn't have multiple apns to switch to. It's forced to stay on prepaid apn only. But remember if you download your settings again. It will over write everything g.
