I made the mistake of trying to go there this afternoon. Bad idea on my part there was a parade going on and traffic was getting pretty ridiculous so I gave up and went to Sans Rival on the Blvd instead. Will have to try another day.
I despise driving on the national highway from about 5-8PM. A parade during that time is just a cruel thing for any event organizer to do.
Oh so true.... We just leave the car at hotel and grab a trike. Relax have a few drinks and forget crazy Dumaguete traffic.
Went to Soban this evening for dinner and will be going back. Have eaten a lot of Korean food over the years and was impressed with the food, the service and the price. Worth a visit if you like Korean food.
After a night of weird and disturbing dreams for both my partner and me, not sure if this place uses MSG in their cooking. Has anyone else experienced this here? Not sure now if I will be going back, now.
I went with friend who like Korean food. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy the place. I do not like Korean food and there was no alternative offered, not even the 'back up hamburger' that other restaurants seem to offer. Its a shame that they do not consider groups who want a social gathering where not everyone in the group likes Korean food. But to their credit, they served some nice tea and smiled as I visited with my friends.
Went again last night and excellent. Full points to staff, received wonderful service which is sadly lacking in Dumaguete. The food was generous, tasty and plentiful. Beer ice cold. Service staff were smiling, happy and could not do enough, one heard my partner informing me she had a problem with her stainless cho sticks, within seconds a set of wooden ones arrived. All in total cost of our meals was under p400, very satisfied guys. If anyone knows any other resto with good service staff love to know about it, even if the food not fantastic.
