⌛ Something New in Dumaguete City?

What would be high on your wish list of new things in Dumaguete?

I for one would love to see:

1) Burger King - Yeah Right
2) Good Cinemas - There will be some in the new Robinsons Mall.
3) Better Supermarket - Hypermart and Lee Plaza are driving me nuts at the moment.
4) Meat Shop - What is it with these places only running their freezers half day, defrosting all their meat daily

Dumaguete is a great place overall, and I am happy to be here. When really thinking about it, there are not a lot of things that I can get in say Manila that I can't get here in some way or the other.

 

You'll regret wishing for those fast food restaurants...trust me

 

That's definitely right...Well, fastfood restaurants are not definitely bad, I mean they're good places to hang out sometimes, but we must go there sparingly...

 

Something new in Dumaguete? Would you believe I can't think of any. I mean I complain and complain but I love it just the way it is. Oh wait. NEW CINEMAS would be a blessing!! I don't have to worry about my chips running away while i'm watching a movie!

SY SCIONS ENVISION SUPER BUSINESS PARK

The scions of the Julio Sy family are envisioning a modern super business park in their sprawling 21 hectare complex in Calindagan after the grand opening of Robinsons Super Mall whose construction is ongoing. The Teletech call center is now there.

The future amenities of the business park include among other: retirement homes, 4 star hotel, concert park, a display center for export products, 3 star movie houses, etc.

Palafox Architectural Firm, ranked 96 in the top 200 companies worldwide in the field of architecture is commissioned to develop the said prime property.

City Administrator Dominador Dumalag Jr. said that the structure should not be a cause of concern to businessmen in the city since the projects are not supposed to pose serious competition on their respective establishments. In fact, they will complement them and will cause more job oppotunities for the people of the province.

Currently, Robinsons is building a 2 storey mall and is intended to be finished by October this year.

 

starbucks coffee. an art gallery. i would also love to see a modern dumaguete showroom where all locally manufactured products can be found: furniture, baskets, anything native.

Well, we are not in Dumaguete, but we have a shop full of locally manufactured products. Come to Dauin and have a look at our souvenir shop. The Dauin Lighthouse Boutique is located between Eldorado and Pura Vida Resort!

This will be something very cool for Dumaguete. My wish list for Dumaguete is Starbucks, as well as nice hangout places.

And by the way what makes this business park "super"?
